Resting on a peninsula on the outskirts of Essex, Maryland, our community is surrounded on two sides by water. On one side is Hopkins Creek; on the other, the Middle River. For boaters, it’s an ideal location and only just minutes from the Chesapeake Bay.

 

Hopewell Pointe consists of 86 single-family homes, 144 condominiums and 14 villas. A gray, black and white color scheme create a uniform appearance that enhances the character of this unique community. On slightly raised foundations accented with lattice at the base, entry-level porches and some with upper-level porches, decks, and garages, the single-family homes reflect the classic architectural style of those along the North Carolina coast. The condominiums are also comprised of these classic design elements which affords the community an elegant and uniform style. All of the homes and condominiums are spacious, bright, and airy and encourage a simple and care-free lifestyle.

 

In many communities, the development dictates the design, but in Hopewell Pointe, the environment dictated the development. The community is young in comparison to many others in east Baltimore County. As part of a revitalization project begun more than 20 years ago, ground-breaking took place in 2002. Today, Hopewell Pointe lies on 55 acres with a significant portion set aside for conservation preservation.
